Competition demands progress, so what started with the first organised Container Depot and Repair shop in Greece in 1977 in owned land in the Aspropirgos area (Athens), expanded in the trading of all types of containers in 1993, now takes place in our group a more global handling solution of the “Containers field”. Our full range of services in the area of Containers (sale & purchase, leasing, storage, repairs, and arrangement of transportation) is offered in both our premises in Aspropirgos and in our recently established Container Depot in Thessaloniki. The evolution of services from our group is continuous. Doing so widens and enhances the range of services we can offer to our customers and give us new flexibility. Therefore our Group is also offeringwarehouse facilities and logistics in professionally organised owned covered warehouses in the area of Aspropirgos
A BRIEF HISTORY
Many years ago, Captain Nick Soutos, President of our Group and Consul General of Liberia in Greece since 1971, foresaw that Containers would be the most important transportation/storage means, not only apply to fragile cargo but in all commodities in general. Thus, in 1977, he established the first and largest Container Depot/Repairs/ Facilities in Greece “GREEK CONTAINER SERVICES“, which now expands activities into the logistics field with covered warehouses of 3000 sq. meters besides its capability of storing goods in containers within the DEPOT premises.
Thereafter in 1993, the other Company of our Group namely “TECHNOPYR S.A.” engaged in trading all type of Containers (buy-sell-lease).
The activities of Soutos Group take also place in Shipping since 1972 as well as in other fields based abroad.
The, SOUTOS GROUP is representing and cooperating with large and very well known International Shipping and Container Companies. In order for full service to be provided to our container clients, we expanded in the arrangement of transportation through a network of associate transporters, as well as in the domain of loaded containers (handling, storage, transportation etc.).

Experienced Staff Experienced StaffAs soon as a container is off-loaded from a vessel, experienced staff organise loaded or empty container handling, forwarding to the depot, storage, repositioning of the box for inspection and preparation (repairing/ cleaning) in the case of the empty box for its next assignment. |
